Jonathan (Jon) Schor is from Rochester by way of Pittsburgh, and attended Caltech. A fencing, cross-country, and track athlete in college, Jon also made time to work with David Anderson, studying aggression pathways in fruit flies. He joined the Medical Scientist Training Program at UCSF in 2014, and the Neuroscience Program and the Nelson lab in 2016. He enjoys running, producing music, computational neuroscience and proselytizing regarding the value of bulk recording techniques (to a lab that is very single-cell focused).
