Matthew McGregor

Matthew (Match) McGregor is from the shadowlands of El Dorado Hills, California and attended UC Berkeley, where he began his laboratory career studying G-protein coupled receptors in sensory neurons. He then went on to a career in cat-sitting, but returned to science working with Marika Quik at the Stanford Research Institute. He joined the UCSF Neuroscience Program in 2015 and the Nelson lab in 2016. Known for his bubbly personality, Match is always the life of the party. In his spare time he cooks Indian food, writes very short stories and enjoys horror flicks. Match is now currently a post-doctoral fellow in Chris Ford's lab at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus.
