Olivia was raised in New York City, where she got into all things sports-related (playing flag football, baseball, basketball, soccer, hockey). Her first foray into research investigated the therapeutic properties of music. She attended Williams College, where she led the Division III National Championship team for three years. In fact, one year they won in penalty kicks (and her save literally saved the day). In addition to soccer, she pursued research on the parasubthalamic nucleus, and went viral on The TikTok for her eerie Halloween costumes (Voldemort, Will Farrell/Buddy the Elf, and Britney Spears). She joined the Nelson lab as a PhD student in 2022, and is studying tiny brain structures.
